The Moteur! Competition Unveiled at the National Theatre of Nice on February 28th, Last night, on February 28th, the National Theatre of Nice sparkled with an exceptional evening dedicated to the Moteur! Competition! An event brimming with emotions that showcased the talent and creativity of young participants from the PACA region.
The Moteur! project, a beacon of equality of opportunity for young people, came to life under the spotlight of the Franciscans' hall. Since 2017, this audacious initiative has been committed to encouraging young individuals to push their limits, believe in themselves, and shape their futures. Through inspiring encounters and the creation of short films, Moteur! provides a platform where expressing gratitude and celebrating human connections are at the heart of every story.
The evening was an opportunity to present the 8th edition of the Moteur! Competition, chaired by Jonathan Cohen, which will conclude on April 1st, 2024. Within this framework, fourteen young individuals from the region were welcomed to the National Theatre of Nice as part of the Campus of Confidence. A unique opportunity for these young people to experience a journey rich in learning, exchanges, and inspiring encounters.
During this memorable evening, the youth had the opportunity to share their slams, the result of their work and reflection during workshops led by the talented Jacky Ido. Accompanied by the TNN theater troupe and guided by mountaineer Emma Clair Dumont, the participants expressed their creativity and passion with palpable intensity.
The evening's program also included moments of presenting the competition by the Moteur! team, speeches from partners such as Ragni and the City of Nice, as well as the screening of films created by young talents from the Moteur! project.
This evening, marked by emotion and inspiration, was a true ode to youth, creativity, and self-confidence. In the presence of Muriel Mayette-Holtz, director of the TNN, and Caroline Sénéclauze, president of Moteur!, participants were able to share their passion for cinema, art, and expression in all its forms.
This significant event does not end there. The 25 laureates selected at the end of this edition will have the honor of walking the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival in May 2024, where they will receive their Golden Clap from Thierry Frémaux, the festival's General Delegate. Their work will also be celebrated through an official screening and the display of their portraits in large format at the Cannes Train Station.
This presentation evening, open to all, was a true celebration of youth, creativity, and commitment. An evening that will be remembered as a moment of sharing, inspiration, and confidence in the future.
