The Economic Fabric Study is a report by Arcom aimed at providing an overview of the audiovisual production sector as a whole and assessing its economic health. For this 7th edition, Arcom focused on the evolution of audiovisual production costs. The first part of this seventh edition of the Economic Fabric Study of audiovisual production includes indicators from previous editions to provide an updated quantitative overview of the audiovisual production sector based on the tracking of statistical series.
As in previous years, this study also provides an in-depth analysis of a particular theme, which is the subject of a second part. This year, Arcom focused on the evolution of audiovisual production costs. This analysis, which aims to better understand cost dynamics over time as well as the new challenges facing the sector, is conducted in collaboration with the National Center for Cinema and Animated Image. As part of the MIP TV event in April 2023, a major international television content market for the creation, co-production, financing, and distribution of content on all platforms, Arcom and the CNC presented the Economic Fabric Study of audiovisual production.
