Turkish TV content giant Medyapim and digital distribution company Merzigo have formed a strategic partnership aimed at increasing the global distribution of their extensive library of Turkish dramas. In a joint statement, the two companies announced a four-year agreement that will utilize cutting-edge technology to provide innovative monetization, marketing, and distribution services, thereby enabling the global distribution of Turkish content in regions such as Latin America, Africa, and Asia. The service will offer viewers a range of more than 20 language options.
Medyapim, which includes several subsidiaries and partners such as MF Yapim, Madd, and Mednova, boasts a library of over 10,000 hours of TV content ranging from dramas and sitcoms to feature films and game shows. Its popular shows include "Mother" (pictured), "A Woman Scorned," and "A Fairy Tale." The company is also active in game production and the music industry. Merzigo, part of the Istanbul-based Key Networks group that owns an upcoming AVOD platform called Baslat, is a content aggregator that uses a combination of human expertise and AI to increase revenues and grow online communities. Its other clients in Turkey include broadcasters Fox, KanalD, and TV8, and top producers such as Acun Medya and Tims & B.
