Jordan Records $5.819 Billion in Tourist Revenues in 9 Months
Jordan tourist revenues for the first nine months of the current year reached approximately $5.819 billion, marking a substantial increase of 37.7% compared to the same period last year. This surge was primarily driven by a rise in tourist numbers, as reported by the Central Bank of Jordan.
The same statistics show that tourist revenues experienced a 15% growth in September of this year compared to September 2022, reaching $670 million.
Tourism revenues, remittances from overseas workers, local exports, and foreign investments are considered the most significant sources of Jordan's foreign exchange reserves, which have now reached around $17 billion, according to the latest figures.
