The House of Crafts and Taste in Nice unveils its new collection! In collaboration with Bellet winemakers and Maison Tchin Tchin, it features a scented candle as well as "upcycled" glasses. Truly products of the region.
Highlighting the expertise of local professionals in the Alpes-Maritimes region is its mission. The House of Crafts and Taste in Nice showcases numerous local products in its two downtown boutiques.
On Monday, May 6, a new collection created in collaboration with Bellet winemakers and Maison Tchin Tchin was unveiled. It includes upcycled glasses and local candles. "Glasses made from bottles" "We all came together to create two designs that showcase the uniqueness and products of Bellet wines," explains Guillaume Etienne, founder of Maison Tchin Tchin. In this collection, you'll find a duo of recycled glasses.
"The Bellet winemakers kept their bottles on their estate after tastings. We gathered them, collected them, and brought them back to our workshop in Saint-André-de-la-Roche. Then we worked on the glass cold and proceeded with a laser engraving operation." An eco-responsible design priced at 24.50 euros for two. That's for taste, but smell is not neglected. "It's innovative both in physical design and in the scented aspect." Maison Tchin Tchin collaborated with Bellet winemakers. "We first defined the olfactory identity and together we thought about what makes these wines unique. What sets them apart from others?" In total, six months were needed for the candle-making process.
So, it's a local project, but also a collective one. "We really worked together," continues Carine Dalmasso, president of the winemakers. "With four meetings just for the scent. We all agreed on the goal, which is to represent the appellation the best."
"At the beginning, there's rose, then we move on to red fruits, towards the middle, there's a hint of vanilla, and it finishes with a spicy note." In terms of price, you're looking at 35 euros.
