Abdullah bin Zayed and Saudi Foreign Minister Discuss Yemen Crisis Resolution Efforts with US Secretary of State in New York
New York, September 20 - Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, and His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, the Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, met with the U.S. Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, in New York to discuss efforts to resolve the Yemeni crisis.
The trilateral meeting, held on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, focused on finding a sustainable political solution to the Yemeni crisis, enhancing humanitarian assistance to the Yemeni people, and providing essential economic support to Yemen.
The Foreign Ministers of the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and the United States emphasized the significance of close cooperation between the three nations and the Yemeni Presidential Council to bolster peace efforts led by the United Nations.
Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan praised the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to achieve a permanent ceasefire in Yemen, leading to a comprehensive political settlement of the crisis. He reaffirmed the UAE's unwavering commitment to standing by the side of the Yemeni people.
The meeting was also attended by Dr. Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, the Diplomatic Adviser to the UAE President, Her Excellency Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashimi, the Minister of State for International Cooperation, Her Excellency Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar, Minister of State, His Excellency Yousef Manaa Al Otaiba, the UAE Ambassador to the United States, and Her Excellency Lana Zaki Nusseibeh, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs and Permanent Representative of the UAE to the United Nations.
