Ministerial Council for Development Discusses Initiatives and Projects to Support Government System
Abu Dhabi, September 11 - Chaired by His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Presidential Affairs, and Deputy Chairman of the UAE Council of Ministers, the Ministerial Council for Development convened at the Qasr Al Watan in the capital city of Abu Dhabi. During the meeting, several initiatives, policies, and legislations aimed at enhancing the government's functioning were discussed.
The meeting's agenda encompassed discussions on various initiatives and policies concerning industrial waste, urban area classification, and support for the national industry sector in the country. Additionally, the council examined strategies to improve the quality of services within the federal government and explored the possibility of outsourcing certain services. The council also addressed several legislations related to civil aviation, genetic profiling, personal status, cooperatives, financial technology, and industrial ownership.
In governmental affairs, the Ministerial Council for Development deliberated on numerous proposals to bolster training programs in federal government higher education institutions. They also reviewed the 2022 reports of the United Arab Emirates University and received updates on the progress of joint Gulf economic initiatives. Moreover, the council discussed the outcomes of the policy of involving youth in official missions within federal entities.
