DGDA Highlights Diriyah Developments at ILTM 2022 - Cannes

Diriyah Gate Development Authority (DGDA) recently concluded its participation in the International Luxury Travel Market (ILTM) 2022 in Cannes. This prestigious event served as a platform for DGDA to present the latest updates and announcements regarding Diriyah, fostering knowledge exchange with global leaders in the travel industry.

ILTM 2022, which took place from December 5th to December 8th, witnessed the gathering of over 15,000 visitors and featured 1,000 global exhibitors in Cannes, France. The event facilitated connections, educational sessions, and networking opportunities, allowing attendees to gain insights into global projects.

During ILTM 2022 Cannes, DGDA seized the opportunity to shed light on Diriyah, the historic birthplace of modern Saudi Arabia. They also showcased the district's ambitious redevelopment master plan, highlighting its transformation into a cultural destination ready to welcome visitors from both Saudi Arabia and around the world.

Established in 2017, DGDA has made significant progress in revitalizing Diriyah, a district located just outside Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. The district is now poised to become a cultural hub, showcasing Saudi history and heritage.

Diriyah's participation at ILTM followed recent agreements with 16 luxury hotels and hotel brands, bringing the total number of signed agreements to 32. The official opening of At-Turaif, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and Bujairi Terrace, a premium dining destination in Diriyah, were also significant developments.

DGDA's presence at ILTM allowed them to highlight their recent hospitality endeavors, including the planned construction of over 300 luxury branded residences and 38 luxury hotels and resorts in Diriyah. International hoteliers like Four Seasons, Raffles, Park Hyatt, The Address, and the Ritz-Carlton are among the esteemed operators scheduled to open in Diriyah.

Diriyah continues to evolve into a global gathering place that celebrates Saudi history while preserving and honoring its cultural heritage through initiatives like mudbrick construction and the establishment of new hospitality, commercial, and educational venues.
