Dubai Mall Unveils Updated Name and Logo
Dubai premier shopping complex, the Dubai Mall, has undergone a significant transformation, updating its name and logo for the first time in 15 years. The mall colossal facade now proudly displays its refreshed branding as Dubai Mall Emaar, replacing the former The Dubai Mall Emaar.
The announcement of this change was made via TikTok in January 2023, where the mall unveiled its new identity as simply Dubai Mall, shedding the definite article 'The'. The shift in nomenclature was subsequently rolled out across various social media platforms.
Despite this alteration, the Dubai Mall retains its position as a cherished shopping haven for both Dubai residents and its visitors. The news evoked diverse reactions on social media, with some expressing excitement and others reminiscing about the past.
As the world most visited shopping and entertainment destination, the Dubai Mall attracts a staggering 100 million visitors annually. The sprawling complex boasts an impressive array of more than 1,200 retail outlets and hosts over 200 international dining establishments.
Famed as a fashion paradise, the mall houses 70 of the world most esteemed luxury fashion brands, including the debut Middle Eastern outlets of renowned department stores like Bloomingdale and Galeries Lafayette. The Fashion Avenue section showcases high-end couture from esteemed labels such as Versace and Burberry.
The Gold Souk segment beckons jewelry enthusiasts, while the Level Shoes section caters to footwear aficionados with a wide variety of choices. Beyond shopping, Dubai Mall offers family-friendly diversions including the Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo, the Dubai Ice Rink, the educational KidZania center for children, and a state-of-the-art multiplex cinema.
The mall iconic waterfall fountain, often the backdrop for countless photographs, along with The Village area – an outdoor space featuring a retractable roof for winter comfort – further elevate its allure. The mall integration with the five-star Address Dubai Mall hotel, ensuring seamless access to both shopping and accommodation, is an added convenience for visitors.
In 2019, the mall expanded its footprint by almost 15,000 square meters with the inauguration of Dubai Mall Zabeel.
