Dubai Unveils Plans for Second Tallest Tower Globally
Dubai has unveiled its ambitious blueprint for erecting the world second tallest skyscraper, second only to the iconic Burj Khalifa. This new architectural marvel, which will house an opulent 7-star hotel, is anticipated to reach its full glory by the year 2027. Standing tall at over 600 meters, the tower is set to grace the illustrious Sheikh Zayed Road.
The groundbreaking announcement was made by Farhad Azizi, the CEO of Azizi Group, the driving force behind the tower creation. Taking to Twitter, Mr. Azizi shared the news, deeming it a momentous achievement for his company. The Azizi brand has a remarkable journey, having been founded by his father, Mirwais Azizi, an Afghan native, in 1989 with a modest capital of $500.
In an insightful interview with Hotelier Middle East, Azizi CEO, Michael Zager, revealed that the envisioned 7-star hotel will adhere to their own elevated standards, surpassing the global benchmarks for hotel classifications. Zager highlighted Azizi distinctive approach of tailoring regulations for each market segment, which ultimately translates to achieving superior results.
The projected budget for this grand undertaking stands at AED 3 billion ($816 million). The tower first 100 floors will be designated for residential apartments, while the remaining 22 floors will be reserved for an exquisite luxury hotel.
