Prominent Organizations Recognized: Sheikh Mohammed Honors 16 CSR Leaders

In a significant recognition of their pivotal role in fostering sustainable development practices, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, has conferred prestigious awards upon a selection of leading Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) entities.

Emphasizing the imperative of fortifying and structuring corporate social responsibility, Sheikh Mohammed launched pivotal initiatives aligned with national priorities. His Highness highlighted that a company's responsibility transcends profit, encompassing a positive societal and environmental impact.

The ceremony took place at Qasr Al Watan in Abu Dhabi, attended by notable figures including His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Finance Minister, as well as His Highness Lieutenant General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior.

During the event, 16 leading CSR enterprises were bestowed with the Platinum Category Medal for Community Impact by the National CSR Foundation. This accolade recognizes UAE-based organizations that align with environmental and social sustainability standards, governance principles, sustainable development goals, and national priorities.

The distinguished awardees encompass diverse sectors, including names like Etihad Rail, Emirates Group, DP World, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, HSBC Middle East, Crescent Enterprises, and Emirates National Oil Company Limited (ENOC), among others.

The event marked the unveiling of the Foundation's refreshed corporate identity, spotlighting its impactful projects, including endeavors addressing the COVID-19 pandemic and fostering a sustainable blue economy in collaboration with government bodies.

Underlining its commitment, "Majra" initiated several projects of national significance that promise enduring impact and opportunities for collaboration and investment across various sectors. The fund not only acknowledges and promotes businesses' CSR and sustainable impact initiatives but also champions social responsibility and sustainability practices.

The National CSR Foundation, functioning as the federal authority for CSR framework and governance in the UAE, guides and oversees private sector contributions to CSR and sustainable impact aligned with environmental, social, and governance principles (ESGs) and sustainable development goals (SDGs)
