Saqr Ghobash Meets Interim President of the African Parliament at G20 Parliamentary Presidents Summit

New Delhi, October 15th - His Excellency Saqr Ghobash, President of the Federal National Council, held a meeting with His Excellency Dr. Achibire Gayo, the Interim President of the African Parliament, on the sidelines of the ninth summit of G20 parliamentary leaders in New Delhi.

The meeting took place in the presence of the Federal National Council delegation, including His Excellency Marwan Al Muhairi, Mira Al Suwaidi, and Dr. Nidal Al Tunaiji, members of the Council. Also present were His Excellency Dr. Omar Abdul Rahman Al Nuaimi, the Secretary-General of the Council, Afra Al Basti, Deputy Secretary-General for Parliamentary Communication, and Tariq Ahmed Al Marzouqi, Deputy Secretary-General for Council Presidency Affairs.

During the meeting, discussions centered on ways to strengthen cooperation between the Federal National Council and the African Parliament, with the aim of reinforcing the established relations between the United Arab Emirates and African countries.

Both parties emphasized the need to coordinate and exchange experiences and knowledge while aligning their visions and positions in international parliamentary forums. They also highlighted the role of parliaments in promoting cultural and civilizational dialogue among the world's peoples, bringing them closer together, building bridges of civilizational communication, and the importance of uniting these efforts to maintain security, stability, and peace.
