Double Zoksh's 2023 Discography: A Continuous Evolution of Mahraganat Sound. Although the quantity may seem modest in comparison to the multitude of festival releases, the duo's productions showcased a diverse range, spanning from drum to trap. Moreover, there was a noticeable evolution in the visual content of their music videos, and they even ventured into creating a soundtrack for a movie, making their musical harvest for the year quite fruitful.

Me and My Colleague - with Arsenic

Their track, in collaboration with Arsenic, revolves around a drill melody that remains unbroken by pauses or climactic moments. The lyrics unfold with clear and straightforward meters, using various words, expressions, and images to narrate their journey of ascent and struggle. Arsenic adds his unique flair to the mix. Directed by Ziad Abbas, the accompanying music video was shot in distinctive locations, blending an industrial environment with muted colors.

100th Street

Teaming up with Lecha Beats in production, "100th Street" pays homage to the peace area from which the duo hails. Drawing inspiration from the bustling commercial and industrial nature of the place, the track incorporates the sounds of a compressed siren and the ambient noise of the crowded surroundings. The lyrics echo the themes of buying and selling: "You won't buy me with money/ Go and make them paper/ Some money with goats/ But they will see private people."

Zain Prayer from Harley Movie

During the last Eid al-Fitr film season, Double Zoksh left an indelible mark with the song featured in the movie "Harley," starring Mohamed Ramadan and Mahmoud Hamida. Produced in collaboration with Coolpix, the track delves into the city's criminal underworld controlled by mysterious alliances, portraying how individuals from the impoverished class become entangled to fulfill their material dreams. The song's overall composition, including the fluo, melody, and concise bars, harks back to Double Zoksh's early work with Molotov in 2019.

Near

"Near" stands out as Double Zoksh's most notable release of the year. Co-produced with LKVP, the track seamlessly blends various elements. Starting with a simple layer of synth, it progresses into a festival sermon intertwined with Afrobeat melodies. Long breaks feature the reverb technique, alternating between fade in and fade out, accompanied by audio and visual effects reminiscent of Atari games. Directed by Omar Dunga, the music video boasts rich visual elements, including amusement parks, motorcycles, beaches, and African group dances that complement the infectious melody.
