HEC Grants License to Bahrain Specialist Hospital to Establish "Specialist Institute for Health Sciences"

The Higher Education Council (HEC), led by Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, who serves as the Education Minister and Chairman of the HEC Board of Trustees, has issued a decree granting a license to the Bahrain Specialist Hospital. This license allows the hospital to establish a higher education institution known as the "Specialist Institute for Health Sciences" in collaboration with the Manipal College of Health Professions (MCHP) based in India.

The institute will provide a variety of educational and training programs designed to enhance healthcare expertise.

The decree outlines that the institute must fulfill the requirements for institutional accreditation and program approval within the National Qualifications Framework. Furthermore, it mandates that the HEC Secretariat General verify the institute's compliance with all academic, financial, and infrastructure prerequisites.
