HM King Meets Russian Delegation
His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa had a meeting with a Russian delegation that included Alexey Skosyrev, the Russian Ambassador to Bahrain; Grigory Velikikh, Deputy CEO of the Roscongress Foundation, and Tomashoff Vladimir from the Kamchatka Falcon Centre.
The meeting was also attended by His Highness Colonel Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, who serves as the First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), the Chairman of the General Sports Authority (GSA), and the President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC).
During the meeting, HM the King was presented with a rare Siberian falcon as a gift from Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia. This gesture was a testament to President Putin's appreciation for HM King Hamad and the strong relationship between the two leaders.
In addition to this gift, HM King Hamad also received another falcon of a rare breed from the Kamchatka Falcon Centre.
His Majesty warmly welcomed the Russian Ambassador and the accompanying delegation, who conveyed greetings and appreciation from the Russian President. They also extended President Putin's best wishes for the continued prosperity of Bahrain and its people.
In response, HM King Hamad conveyed his own greetings and good wishes to the Russian President and expressed his desire for the people of Russia to experience further prosperity.
Furthermore, HM the King expressed his gratitude to the Russian President for his efforts in strengthening the historical ties between the two nations. He emphasized Bahrain's commitment to protecting endangered species, highlighting the cultural significance of falconry.
HM King Hamad announced that the Supreme Council for Environment (SCE) supported the signing of a Declaration of Intent for "World Falcon Day," which aims to protect endangered falcon species.
His Majesty praised the depth of the Bahraini-Russian relations and the progress achieved across various sectors, underscoring the mutual commitment to further enhancing these ties.
The Russian delegation expressed their appreciation to HM the King for his dedication to strengthening close relations and developing avenues of cooperation between the two countries.
