Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Chairs Meeting of Abu Dhabi Executive Council
ABU DHABI, His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, presided over the council meeting held at Al Bateen Palace in Abu Dhabi.
During the meeting, the Council discussed a range of current and future government plans and projects that align with the vision and directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, "may God protect him," aimed at enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of government work to improve various services provided to the emirate's community and to achieve excellence in the government's operations across different priority sectors.
In the meeting, His Highness approved the government empowerment plan presented by the Government Support Department with the aim of enhancing the sector by improving human resource efficiency, developing training and professional qualification programs, supporting digital infrastructure capabilities, and launching digital transformation initiatives for government services through digital asset management and government data exchange, in coordination with relevant authorities in Abu Dhabi.
The government empowerment plan seeks to enhance the customer experience system with government services and build a unified and specialized central system that improves the quality and efficiency of services provided by government agencies in the emirate, contributing to the sustainability of development and continuous improvement of services.
His Highness approved the launch of the biobank project in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, presented by the Abu Dhabi Health Department, with the aim of strengthening the healthcare sector by relying on precision personalized medicine, providing advanced treatment programs based on the storage of human stem cells and tissues. This initiative aims to advance medical research using the latest technological means and advanced science to treat over 80 diseases, including blood diseases, cancer tumors, bone marrow diseases, and immune system disorders, thus solidifying and strengthening Abu Dhabi's global leadership position as an incubator for innovation and research in life sciences.
His Highness reviewed the progress of the emirate's investment projects and the main performance reports of various agencies and departments affiliated with the government of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi during the second quarter of this year. These reports highlighted the results of government project progress and service initiatives provided to citizens and residents in all regions of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. His Highness emphasized the importance of joint efforts to unify the government services system and continue adopting an innovation-based approach in providing government services to society members, meeting the aspirations of wise leaders by creating a system that follows the development and progress observed in the emirate, establishing a culture of excellence in various government sectors.
