Promoting Tolerance and Peace Values: The Global Council's Collaboration with Tajikistan
The Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, represented by His Excellency Ahmed bin Mohamed Aljarwan, President of the Council, recently engaged in discussions with officials in Tajikistan to enhance the values of tolerance and peace. In a collaborative effort, an agreement was signed at the parliament building in the capital city of Dushanbe between His Excellency Aljarwan and His Excellency Mr. Mohammad Taher Zadah, the Speaker of the Tajikistan Parliament. The primary objective of this partnership is to strengthen and coordinate joint efforts in the fields of tolerance and peace in Asia and the world.
The Speaker of the Tajikistan Parliament lauded the Council's efforts in promoting the values of tolerance and peace, affirming his country's support for the Council and its objectives.
The agreement entails the nomination of a member from the Tajikistan Parliament to the International Parliament for Tolerance and Peace, fostering cooperation within parliamentary circles related to tolerance and peace, and organizing joint parliamentary sessions and conferences.
In a related context, His Excellency Sirojiddin Muhriddin, the Foreign Minister of Tajikistan, welcomed His Excellency Ahmed bin Mohamed Aljarwan, the President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, and the accompanying delegation to the ministry headquarters in Dushanbe. During the meeting, both sides discussed ways to enhance cooperation and joint efforts in the areas of tolerance and peace within the region and globally.
Aljarwan provided Minister Muhriddin with an overview of the Council, its objectives, and its efforts in spreading the values of tolerance and peace worldwide. In response, Minister Muhriddin praised the Council's exceptional efforts and confirmed his country's support for the Council and its mission. He emphasized the world's urgent need to reinforce the values of tolerance and peace.
Both parties reached an agreement to establish a regional office for the Council in Dushanbe.
Furthermore, Minister Muhriddin commended the strong ties between Tajikistan and the United Arab Emirates and acknowledged the UAE's efforts in promoting tolerance, peace, and love, as well as emphasizing the importance of sustainable development. He also expressed his confidence in the success of the UAE's hosting of "COP28," a significant international event.
In line with the Council's commitment to strengthen collaboration with universities and educational institutions, Dr. Khushvakhtzoda Kobiljon, President of the National University of Tajikistan, welcomed His Excellency Ahmed bin Mohamed Aljarwan at the university's headquarters in Dushanbe. The discussions focused on ways to enhance cooperation and joint efforts to promote tolerance and peace values within the academic realm. An agreement was reached to consider the introduction of a Master's program in Tolerance and Peace Sciences, which has been developed by the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace. Additionally, the parties agreed to collaborate on organizing scientific conferences and various cultural competitions aimed at enhancing a culture of tolerance and peace.
