Saudi bin Saqr: The UAE, under the leadership of Mohammed bin Zayed, Continues to Strengthen Its Global Relations
His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, affirmed that the United Arab Emirates, under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the country, is advancing in cementing its economic, trade, and comprehensive developmental relations and fostering positive communication with various sisterly and friendly nations. This underscores its pivotal and influential role in the region and the world, emphasizing its active contribution to international efforts aimed at promoting sustainable development, prosperity, stability, and peace for the people of the world.
His Highness stated, during his participation in the Third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation, held in Beijing, "The United Arab Emirates has achieved numerous economic, political, and developmental accomplishments thanks to its ambitious future vision. These achievements have enhanced its position and role both regionally and internationally, opening up broader prospects for economic and trade partnerships with various countries worldwide."
He added, "We share a comprehensive strategic partnership with China, rooted in a historical depth of fruitful trade and economic exchange. This partnership is a reflection of the alignment of strategic visions between the leaderships of both nations and the friendly peoples. It is supported by ambitious future plans and a shared desire to elevate sustainable development rates in both countries to the highest levels, benefiting everyone and fostering extensive cooperation."
His Highness emphasized that the United Arab Emirates, through its strategic location, role in global trade, logistical capabilities, modern infrastructure, and diversified knowledge-based economy, actively contributes to the Belt and Road Initiative. The UAE offers promising investment opportunities and a highly competitive environment in various economic and trade sectors. Additionally, the country is a member of several regional and international organizations dedicated to supporting global economic growth.
He praised the success of the Belt and Road Initiative as a global platform for enhancing communication, integration, and economic exchange among nations worldwide, encouraging the expansion of new economic sectors. His Highness stated, "Simultaneously with the tenth anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative's launch, which succeeded in stimulating global trade and expanding international partnerships among initiative countries, we look forward to continuing this partnership. It aligns with our future plans and vision, aiming to promote the principles of cooperation, trade exchange, and investment in vital sectors that serve our interests, those of the region's countries, and benefit the well-being and development of the people worldwide."
His Highness, the Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, affirmed that the United Arab Emirates, through hosting the 28th Conference of the Parties (COP28) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change in November, seeks to establish new values that confirm the international community's commitment to finding sustainable and innovative solutions to address climate change challenges. This commitment is expected to contribute to the creation of economic and sustainable developmental opportunities that align with the strategic goals of the Belt and Road Initiative, supporting sustainable development rates and stimulating the global economy.
