UAE and Kazakhstan Strengthen Bilateral Ties: Mansour bin Zayed Meets Kazakh Prime Minister
Astana, In a significant diplomatic encounter, His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Affairs, conveyed greetings from His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the United Arab Emirates, to His Excellency Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Sheikh Mansour met with His Excellency Alikhan Ismailov, the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan during his special visit to the friendly nation.
At the outset of the meeting, Sheikh Mansour extended warm regards and well-wishes from the UAE's leadership to Kazakhstan under the esteemed leadership of President Tokayev. His Highness expressed his hopes for Kazakhstan's continuous prosperity and progress.
During the encounter, Sheikh Mansour, who is currently on a special visit to Kazakhstan, underscored the deep-rooted historical relations between the UAE and the friendly Republic of Kazakhstan. Both countries' leaderships are committed to strengthening these ties across various domains, aiming to promote mutual interests and drive forward progress and fruitful cooperation. Sheikh Mansour wished the Republic of Kazakhstan continuous growth and prosperity under the leadership of President Tokayev.
The meeting included discussions on bilateral relations in numerous areas of mutual interest, encompassing economics, sustainable energy, environmental initiatives, digital technology, infrastructure development, and investment opportunities.
Sheikh Mansour engaged in an exchange of views with Prime Minister Ismailov on several regional matters of common concern, seeking mutual understanding and collaboration.
On the sidelines of the meeting, Sheikh Mansour was briefed on the outcomes of the joint committee established by the UAE and Kazakhstan. This committee led to the signing of seven memoranda of understanding and cooperation in various areas of mutual interest, strengthening the strategic bilateral relations between the two countries in the past year.
Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Prime Minister Ismailov witnessed the signing of an agreement between the UAE and Kazakhstan concerning the management and development of Astana International Airport. This agreement will be executed by the Terminalz Holding Company and was signed by His Excellency Suhail Mohamed Al Mazrouei, the Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, and on the Kazakh side, His Excellency Mukhamedzhan Kalizhan, the Deputy Minister of Transport.
Among the attendees were His Excellency Suhail Mohamed Al Mazrouei, the Minister of Energy and Infrastructure; His Excellency Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Bawardi, the State Minister for Defense Affairs; His Excellency Major General Pilot Fares Khalaf Al Mazrouei, the Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police; His Excellency Khalid Balhami Al-Tamimi, the Governor of the Central Bank of the UAE; His Excellency Dr. Hamad Saif Al Shamsi, the Attorney General; His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Saeed Al-Ariqi, the Ambassador of the UAE to Kazakhstan; and His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Saeed Al-Suwaidi, the Director-General of the Abu Dhabi Development Fund.
On the Kazakh side, attendees included His Excellency Galymzhan Koishybayev, the Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the Government of Kazakhstan Office, and Darhan Satybaldy, the Mayor of the Turkestan Region.
