Abdullah bin Zayed Arrives in Muscat for Extraordinary GCC Ministerial Meeting
Muscat, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, has arrived in the Omani capital, Muscat, to participate in the proceedings of the extraordinary ministerial meeting of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) regarding the recent developments in the Gaza Strip.
Upon his arrival, His Highness was received by His Excellency Mr. Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, the Foreign Minister of the sisterly Sultanate of Oman, in the presence of His Excellency Jassim Mohammed Al Budiwi, the Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council.
Attending the meeting alongside His Highness are His Excellency Khalifa Shahin Al Marar, a State Minister, His Excellency Mohammed bin Khairah Al Dhaheri, the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the Sultanate of Oman, and His Excellency Ahmed Ali Al Balushi, the Director of the Gulf Cooperation Council Affairs Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The convening of this extraordinary ministerial meeting of the GCC is at the request of the Sultanate of Oman, the current Presidency of the GCC, and after consultation and coordination with the member states of the council. The meeting aims to facilitate discussions and consultations on recent developments in the region.
