HE GCCSG: The Reconstruction and Stability of Syria is a Humanitarian and Security Necessity for the Entire Region

His Excellency Mr. Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), affirmed that the reconstruction and stability of Syria are not only critical for the country's future but are also a humanitarian and security necessity for the entire region. He emphasized that ensuring stability in Syria is pivotal for regional peace and economic development, underlining the importance of collective efforts to support the rebuilding process.

During his statement, HE Albudaiwi called for enhanced collaboration among Gulf nations, international partners, and organizations to provide the necessary assistance for Syria's reconstruction. He also highlighted the significant role of GCC countries in facilitating humanitarian aid and contributing to efforts aimed at securing Syria’s long-term stability.

The Secretary General stressed that peace and security in Syria will have a direct positive impact on the broader Middle Eastern region, fostering greater cooperation, regional integration, and economic prosperity for all involved.
