Salem bin Khalid Al Qasimi: Federal National Council Elections Mark a New Beginning for Parliamentary Development
His Excellency Sheikh Salem bin Khalid Al Qasimi, Minister of Culture and Youth and a member of the National Electoral Commission, affirmed that the fifth round of elections for the Federal National Council represents a new chapter in the development of the parliamentary experience of the United Arab Emirates. Through this, the country aims to strengthen the integration of roles between the executive and legislative authorities to continue achieving results in line with the vision of astute leadership for the benefit of the nation and its citizens.
His Excellency extended his congratulations to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the State, "may God protect him," and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, "may God protect him." He also extended his congratulations to His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Vice President of the United Arab Emirates, the Deputy Prime Minister, and the Chief of the Presidential Court, as well as to Their Highnesses, the members of the Supreme Council of the Federation, and the leaders of the Emirates, on the success of the fifth session of the Federal National Council elections in 2023.
His Excellency stated, "The wise leaders' guidance and their continuous support throughout the 2023 Federal elections have significantly contributed to the success of the electoral process, reflecting an ideal image consistent with the substantial development witnessed by the United Arab Emirates across various domains and sectors."
Sheikh Salem bin Khalid Al Qasimi noted the active participation of voters in the fifth electoral cycle, which reflects their enthusiasm and desire to engage in the national decision-making process, further strengthening the development of the United Arab Emirates and ensuring a better quality of life for all members of society.
He also acknowledged the influential role of the youth in the electoral process, emphasizing that their active participation and contributions to the Federal National Council elections represent a vital pillar in the parliamentary work as the country progresses towards the centenary of the United Arab Emirates in 2071. Their involvement supports the nation's strategic national objectives and continues to facilitate further progress and success.
