During his official visit to China, Abdullah bin Adel Fakhro, the Minister of Industry and Commerce, actively participated in the grand opening ceremony of the China-GCC Cooperation Forum. This event marked a significant milestone in the strengthening of economic ties and collaboration between China and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).

In the spirit of international cooperation and diplomacy, the ceremony saw the gracious presence of the GCC ministers of commerce alongside Wang Wentao, the esteemed Chinese Minister of Commerce. This collective gathering of key figures highlighted the importance of fostering constructive dialogue and collaboration on economic matters between these influential regions.

The inaugural sub-forum was dedicated to exploring the themes of green development and the digital economy, reflecting the ever-growing global focus on sustainability and technological advancement. Participants engaged in thoughtful discussions, sharing ideas and best practices aimed at promoting environmentally friendly growth and harnessing the potential of the digital age for economic progress.

Simultaneously, the second sub-forum delved into the vital topics of industrial investment and financial cooperation. These discussions aimed to uncover opportunities for mutual investment and financial growth, all with the overarching objective of aligning the priorities and goals for the upcoming China-GCC summit in 2022.

The China-GCC Cooperation Forum was more than just a gathering of distinguished representatives; it was a platform where the nations involved sought to establish a solid foundation for economic cooperation, fostering stronger bonds and creating opportunities for future collaboration.
