The honorees hailed from diverse regions, including the United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, the United Kingdom, Israel, and the United States.

Themed 'Leading the Transformation,' the 13th ADIPEC Awards Ceremony acknowledged exceptional accomplishments within the broader energy sector. It lauded global innovators in their pursuit of net-zero emissions, decarbonization, and a fair energy transition through eight award categories.

Leaders and dignitaries from the energy, technology, and government sectors attended the ceremony at the capital of the United Arab Emirates. Suhail Mohamed Al Mazrouei, UAE Minister of Energy and Infrastructure and ADIPEC Awards 2023 Juror, emphasized the significance of the event in the UAE's Year of Sustainability. LanzaTech, an American company, received the Decarbonisation at Scale Award for its innovative carbon capture process deployed at commercial sites in China. The process transforms captured CO2 into sustainable fuels and chemicals, contributing to a circular carbon economy.

Malaysia's PETRONAS Research was named the ADIPEC Awards Developing Economies Energy Company of the Year for its technology solution capturing and monetizing stranded high carbon dioxide fields in developing countries.

ADNOC received the Future Energy Workforce Development Programme Award for its joint initiative with SLB, the Energy Futures Initiative, using innovative methodologies and AI-powered talent analytics for workforce development.

Israel's H2Pro was honored with the Transformative Hydrogen Project Award for its E-TAC methodology, producing green hydrogen at 95% energy efficiency compared to conventional electrolysis.

The Game-Changing Partnership Award went to ADNOC Onshore and the Emirates Water and Electricity Company (EWEC) for their collaboration enabling ADNOC Onshore to source renewable energy for its grid power, supporting the decarbonization of operations.

With a record-breaking 1,072 entries from 78 countries, this year's ADIPEC Awards reflected a global response to key challenges in universal access to cleaner and more secure energy. The awards are an integral part of ADIPEC, the world's largest energy conference and exhibition, taking place in Abu Dhabi from October 2 to 5 under the theme 'Decarbonising. Faster. Together.'
