Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo has unveiled the first phase of its ambitious renovation project, introducing 45 redesigned rooms and suites by celebrated French designer Jacques Garcia. The refreshed accommodations promise guests an unparalleled blend of Mediterranean elegance and contemporary comfort.
The redesigned rooms, located on the hotel’s second and third floors, include Deluxe Premium Rooms, Prestige Rooms, Junior Suites, and Deluxe Suites. Garcia’s inspiration draws from the sun-soaked Riviera, capturing its serene blues, golden sunlight, and timeless sophistication. Second-floor rooms offer calming blue tones with embroidered Colefax & Fowler wall fabrics, while the third-floor rooms glow with warm golden hues reminiscent of Mediterranean afternoons.
Junior Suites feature exclusive Garcia-designed centrepieces: dual-purpose dressing tables and writing desks in Laurier green Tassin leather and white ash wood, with discreet sliding televisions. Bathrooms include freestanding Devon & Devon bathtubs, adding retro-chic elegance to the experience. The Deluxe Suites, designed like private apartments, provide separate living areas ideal for extended stays, complete with Calacatta Borghini marble minibars and custom lighting.
Jacques Garcia commented, “Rethinking the Metropole meant preserving its soul while enhancing its Riviera spirit – a balance of refinement and relaxation. These rooms tell a story of travel, discovery, and the timeless charm of Monaco.”
Serge Ethuin, General Manager, added, “This first phase showcases our commitment to excellence, combining heritage with innovation. Guests can now enjoy a level of luxury and comfort that truly reflects the spirit of the Riviera.”

This renovation marks the beginning of a multi-phase project that will extend throughout the hotel, ensuring every room embodies the same Mediterranean-inspired aesthetic. Earlier this year, the hotel also launched its Spa Métropole by Guerlain, featuring ten treatment rooms and three signature rituals: Golden Sand, Monaco Glow, and Puissance du Rocher.
Rates for the newly renovated rooms start from €1,250 per night, including breakfast. For bookings and more information, visit metropole.com
