Al Habtoor Group Selects China Railway 18th Bureau Group as Contractor for World Largest Residential Tower

Dubai - In a groundbreaking announcement, Al Habtoor Group revealed that it has appointed China Railway 18th Bureau Group Ltd. as the contractor for the world largest residential tower project. Valued at AED3.7 billion, this iconic venture is set to reshape Dubai skyline. The Al Habtoor Tower will stand tall along Sheikh Zayed Road, offering an unparalleled luxurious living experience.

With an impressive 1,701 keys and 81 floors, the multi-billion dirham development is scheduled to be completed within a remarkable 36-month timeframe. Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor, the Founding Chairman of Al Habtoor Group, expressed his satisfaction with the selection of China Railway 18th Bureau Group as the main contractor for the prestigious Al Habtoor Tower.

"Knowing the complexity of taking on such a project, which requires a progressive and unique approach to construction, selecting the right contractors for the construction works was crucial for my team and me, as our goal is to complete Al Habtoor Tower at the highest quality in record time," Al Habtoor stated.

The selection process involved an extensive evaluation of potential contractors, with bidders from Europe, India, China, and the Middle East. China Railway 18th Bureau Group was chosen based on their ability to meet the projected 36-month completion target, demonstrate full technical compliance for state-of-the-art quality, and showcase a successful track record in handling mega projects.

Al Habtoor, himself a former builder and contractor, expressed his excitement about the project, stating, "I am excited to be driving the first piles of the project into the ground and revealing some of the novel technical details of the construction techniques used in the Habtoor Tower. I am very proud that it will be delivered at the highest quality in record time."

The construction of Al Habtoor Tower will employ the top-down method, utilizing heavy equipment from Bauer. Upon completion, the building is expected to have a significantly lower carbon footprint compared to similar structures.

Zon Lin, General Manager of China Railway 18th Bureau Group Ltd., expressed gratitude and confidence in a letter to Khalaf Al Habtoor, saying, "With your blessing, we are fully committed to executing and delivering the Project within our full capabilities and abilities. You will not be disappointed whatsoever with our promises. We will 'definitely walk the talk'."

Dubai is once again poised to make architectural history with the world largest residential tower, and Al Habtoor Group, alongside China Railway 18th Bureau Group, is ready to set new standards of excellence in construction and design.
