Saudi SPCC Partners with China Sinoma for $330 Million Production Line

Southern Province Cement Company (SPCC), a leading Saudi-based building materials manufacturer, has announced a significant contract signing with Sinoma, a renowned cement engineering system integration service provider based in China. The agreement, valued at $330 million (AED1.21 billion), entails the construction of SPCC new production line with a total capacity of 5,000 tonnes per day. Additionally, Sinoma will undertake infrastructure works for a related project in Saudi Arabia.

The financing for this venture will be facilitated by a local bank, and the completion timeline is estimated at 30 months.

In a recent update, SPCC had revealed plans to establish a production line at Jazan Cement Factory, capable of producing 10,000 tonnes per day, as a replacement for the existing production lines. The company has completed the evaluation of technical and financial proposals submitted by competing firms for the project implementation.

Currently, efforts are underway to finalize and review the contract, which will be signed upon completion of the necessary procedures.
