State Head and Turkish President Discuss Regional Developments and Efforts to De-escalate and Protect Civilians
Abu Dhabi, October 12 - His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, and His Excellency Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President of the Republic of Turkey, engaged in a telephone call today to discuss efforts aimed at de-escalating the situation in the region and the utmost priority of protecting civilians and preserving their lives. They also discussed the intensification of efforts to establish secure humanitarian corridors to ensure the delivery of aid in light of the escalating pace of violence, which threatens regional security and stability.
In this context, both parties emphasized the urgent need for regional and international action to immediately halt the escalation, underscoring the importance of working towards a comprehensive and just peace that guarantees stability, development, and security in the Middle East region while preventing further crises.
During the call, His Highness and the Turkish President also explored cooperation and collaborative efforts, the path of their strategic partnership, and opportunities for its expansion across various domains.
