Paradigm 3D Reveals a Cutting-Edge Dh20 Million 3D Printing Facility in Dubai Featuring Stratasys Technology
Paradigm 3D Reveals a Cutting-Edge Dh20 Million 3D Printing Facility in Dubai Featuring Stratasys Technology, marking a pioneering venture in the Middle East capable of manufacturing components in compliance with the aerospace-specific EASA Part 21G regulation.
Equipped with cutting-edge industrial 3D printers from Stratasys Ltd., the facility's initial focus is on the production of parts for the aviation industry in the region. Nestled in the Jabel Ali Industrial Area, the 10,750 sq ft. factory is set to have an initial production capacity of approximately 2,000 additively manufactured parts per year, with plans to scale up to around 20,000 annually in the next decade. The facility will craft various components, including seating, lavatories, electronic cooling ducts, environment control system ducting, wire guides, filter boxes, micro vanes, gaskets, component connectors, air intake manifolds, and more.

Globally recognized aircraft and cabin interior product manufacturers such as Boeing, Collins Aerospace, BAE Systems, Airbus, Diehl Aviation, and Safran Seats utilize additive manufacturing systems from Stratasys. Andreas Langfeld, Stratasys EMEA President, emphasized the uniqueness of Paradigm 3D's facility, stating that it is the sole 3D printing service provider in the Middle East certified to produce 3D-printed parts for both private and commercial aircraft. He underscored the facility's potential to significantly reduce lead times for replacement parts, thereby enhancing operational efficiency and reducing environmental impact related to spare parts transportation.
In collaboration with Stratasys' long-time Dubai-based platinum partner, The Design to Manufacturing Company (theD2Mco), and Latvia-based certified aerospace production company AM Craft, Paradigm 3D aims to establish itself as the first qualified manufacturing site outside the European Union. TheD2Mco installed the industrial 3D printers and will manage 24/7 uptime and support, while AM Craft will support Paradigm 3D in achieving local production approval, facilitating regional manufacturing capabilities for local airline operators.
Kyriakos Papantoniou, Group Executive Director at theD2Mco, expressed commitment to supporting the UAE government's vision for the manufacturing sector through initiatives like Operation 300bn. He highlighted the significance of using Stratasys 3D printers for primary production applications, positioning the facility to meet the needs of highly regulated industries such as aviation.
Janis Jatnieks, CEO of AM Craft, emphasized the global reach of airlines and how the Paradigm 3D facility would enable aerospace companies worldwide to benefit from decentralized and on-demand manufacturing. He underscored the facility's role as a one-stop-shop for designing, manufacturing, and postprocessing certified aircraft components.
Looking ahead, Paradigm 3D envisions expanding its focus into other industry verticals following the success of the Jabel Ali manufacturing plant with airlines. Mohamed Juma, Co-founder and Owner of Paradigm 3D, sees additive manufacturing as a core growth enabler for the region, positioning the UAE as a hub for a genuine digital manufacturing revolution. He expressed confidence that the facility's success in the highly regulated aviation sector would validate the numerous advantages of 3D printing, paving the way for expansion into parallel sectors such as oil & gas and other industrial applications.
