Nahyan bin Mubarak Attends Chinese National Day Ceremony at the Chinese Embassy
Abu Dhabi, His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, attended an evening reception hosted by His Excellency Zhang Yiming, the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China in the country, in celebration of his nation's National Day.
The event, held at the St. Regis Corniche Hotel, was also graced by the presence of His Excellency Ahmed bin Ali Al Sayegh, Minister of State, Her Excellency Noura bint Mohammed Al Kaabi, Minister of State, and His Excellency Mohammed Jalal Al Raisi, Director General of the UAE's news agency. Several high-ranking state officials and members of the Arab and foreign diplomatic corps accredited in the country, as well as a sizable contingent of the Chinese community residing in the nation, were also in attendance.
During his address, Ambassador Zhang Peiming expressed his appreciation for the close ties between the two friendly nations and the commitment of leaders from both countries to strengthen these relations across various domains. He emphasized that the bilateral relations between the People Republic of China and the United Arab Emirates have seen substantial growth and development in recent years, highlighting that the trade volume between the two countries has reached $99.2 billion.
His Excellency further noted that the number of Chinese citizens residing in the United Arab Emirates stands at approximately 400,000, with approximately 6,000 Chinese companies operating in the country. He remarked, "China is deeply committed to advancing the strategic partnership between China and the United Arab Emirates, as well as expanding and deepening cooperative efforts across all fields for the mutual benefit of our two friendly nations.
