The renowned Battle of Flowers in Villefranche-sur-Mer
The renowned Battle of Flowers in Villefranche-sur-Mer once again delighted the crowds who gathered in large numbers to witness this traditional, friendly, and incredibly peaceful event: the Flower Naval Combat. The docks and surrounding areas were packed with people, all eager to witness this unique spectacle where tons of mimosa flowers take center stage, with no less than 1 ton and 200 kilograms of this emblematic flower present to enchant the eyes and senses.
This year, the event was particularly marked by the participation of two renowned Saint-Jeannois vessels: the Santo Sospir from the SOS Grand Bleu association and the fishing boat belonging to our friend and municipal councilor from Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, Arnaud ALLARI! These local representatives brought their energy and dedication to make this battle an unforgettable moment.
The audience was transported by the magic of this floral combat, where each crew outdid themselves to offer a breathtaking spectacle. Competitors from different regions joined forces in a spirit of camaraderie, making this battle a true symbol of peace and harmony.
At the end of a fight as impressive as it was colorful, a big congratulations is due to all the crews, whether they were from Saint-Jeannois, Berlugans, Ezasques, Cap d'Aillois, or Villefranchois! Their combined efforts resulted in a magnificent spectacle, greeted with cheers and applause.
