Myriam El Hajj DIARIES FROM LEBANON Premieres. The world premiere of Myriam El Hajj's Lebanese documentary DIARIES FROM LEBANON took place at the Panorama Section of the Berlin International Film Festival (Berlinale), garnering enthusiastic praise and a standing ovation from attendees, including audiences, celebrities, and media personnel.

Director Myriam El Hajj, producers Myriam Sassine and Carine Ruszniewski, Lebanese author and activist Joumana Haddad, Lebanese artist and activist Perla Joe Maalouli, and Co-Founders of the sales agent MAD Solutions, Alaa Karkouti and Maher Diab, were among those present at the premiere.

Following the premiere, DIARIES FROM LEBANON received glowing reviews from critics and media figures. Malik Berkati of J:mag Switzerland commended the film's ability to capture the despair of a young generation striving for change despite challenges. Mahari Seghid of African Refugees News praised its portrayal of Lebanon's socio-political realities. Lida Bach of MovieBreak highlighted the film's unique perspective on the ongoing protests and their implications for the future.

The documentary unfolds as a series of diaries chronicling four tumultuous years in Lebanon history. Depicting the struggles of individuals seeking meaning and survival amidst societal upheaval. It explores the question of how one can maintain hope amid chaos.

DIARIES FROM LEBANON, written, directed, and co-lensed by El Hajj alongside Jihad Saadé and Mohamed Siam. Was produced by Sassine of Abbout Productions and Ruszniewski of GoGoGo Films.

Featuring prominent figures such as author and activist Joumana Haddad, Lebanese war veteran Georges Moufarej. And artist and activist Perla Joe Maalouli, the documentary offers a multifaceted portrayal of Lebanese society.

Myriam El Hajj, a Lebanese filmmaker known for her previous documentary A TIME TO REST. She is also a founding member of Rawiyat-Sisters in Film, a collective of women filmmakers from the Arab world and the diaspora.
