Kering and Cannes Festival Honor Donna Langley with 2024 Women In Motion Award. François-Henri Pinault, Chairman and CEO of Kering, Iris Knobloch, President of the Festival de Cannes, and Thierry Frémaux, Director of the Festival de Cannes, will present the 2024 Women In Motion Award to Dame Donna Langley, Chairman of NBCUniversal Studio Group and Chief Content Officer, during the official dinner in Cannes on Sunday, May 19, 2024. In presenting this award to Langley, Kering and the Festival de Cannes wish to celebrate her lifelong commitment to leadership and inclusivity, which has shaped diversity both in front of and behind the camera.

Langley, as Chairman of NBCUniversal Studio Group and Chief Content Officer, has gained global recognition for supporting the creation of culturally relevant films that provide a platform for women and diverse voices worldwide. For nearly two decades, she has championed storytelling reflective of the world around her, challenging norms and proving that inclusive casting, hiring, and storytelling are smart business.

About Donna Langley, DBE

British native Donna Langley, DBE, built her career in the United States as a production executive at New Line Cinema before joining Universal in 2001 as Senior Vice-President of Production. She has since held several leadership positions at the Studio. Following her elevation to Chairman of NBCUniversal Studio Group and Chief Content Officer, she manages a unified content strategy across the organization’s Film and Television Studios. Langley oversees NBCUniversal’s creative teams, including Universal Filmed Entertainment Group and Universal Studio Group, leveraging her relationships with creatives to craft a seamless cross-portfolio creative strategy.
