The Saudi Arabia has strongly condemned Iranian missile attacks targeting its territory on Saturday, declaring that it successfully intercepted the threats and will take all necessary measures to safeguard its security and sovereignty.
In an official statement released by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Kingdom described the strikes on Riyadh and the Eastern Province as “blatant aggression” and an unjustified violation that cannot be legitimized under any pretext.
The statement emphasized that Iran was fully aware that Saudi Arabia would not permit its airspace or territory to be used in any action directed against it. Riyadh stressed that its national security remains a “red line” that cannot be crossed.
“All Necessary Measures” on the Table
Saudi authorities confirmed that air defense systems successfully confronted the incoming threats. The government warned that, in light of the aggression, it reserves the right to respond and will consider all available options to defend its territory, citizens, and residents — including potential retaliation.
Officials reiterated that protecting the Kingdom’s sovereignty is non-negotiable and that any further escalation would be met with decisive action.
Regional Escalation
The attacks on Saudi Arabia are part of a broader Iranian missile offensive that also targeted Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Jordan.
The wave of strikes follows a joint military operation by the United States and Israel against Iran, which Tehran has described as an act of aggression.
Countries affected by the Iranian missile campaign have collectively labeled the attacks a “flagrant violation” of their sovereignty and a “direct threat” to the safety of their citizens and to regional stability.
As tensions continue to rise across the Gulf, diplomatic and military observers warn that the situation risks spiraling into a broader regional confrontation unless urgent de-escalation efforts are undertaken.
